How much roof space do I need?

As a general rule, you need about 100 sq. ft. of shadow-free roof space for every 1 kW of solar panels installed. For a standard 3kW system, you would need roughly 300 sq. ft.

Do I need to buy expensive batteries?

No! The PM Surya Ghar Yojana primarily supports "On-Grid" systems. This means your system is connected directly to the government grid via a Net Meter. The grid acts as your virtual battery, storing your excess power during the day for you to use at night.

Who processes the subsidy claim?

As a registered vendor, Ishi Solar handles the entire process for you. We upload the feasibility report, installation photos, and commissioning certificates to the National Portal. All you have to do is provide your bank details on the portal to receive the funds directly via DBT.

What happens to my roof? Will it leak?
