Who Can Apply?

Age & Residency

Must be 18+ years of age and a permanent resident of the state.

Land Availability

Approx. 1.5 to 2 Nali (3000 to 4000 sq. ft.) of shadow-free land or rooftop space.

Grid Proximity

The land must be close to a 11kV/33kV grid substation for easy power evacuation.

Government Financial Support

The scheme provides massive MSME subsidies to lower your capital burden.

Easy Bank Loans

Up to 70% of the project cost is funded by state co-operative and nationalized banks at subsidized MSME interest rates. You only pay 10-15% as margin money!

What type of land is required for MSSY?

The scheme is specifically designed to utilize barren or uncultivable land. However, you can also set up the 25kW plant on structurally sound commercial rooftops or agricultural land, provided it receives shadow-free sunlight throughout the day.

How does the bank loan repayment work?

Banks typically fund up to 70% of the project cost under the MSME sector. Once your plant is commissioned, the state government pays you monthly for the electricity you generate. A portion of this monthly income is automatically deducted as your EMI, and the rest is your profit. The loan is usually paid off within 5 to 7 years.

Do I need to be technically skilled to run this?

Not at all. The plant operates automatically. As your EPC partner, Ishi Solar handles the technical design, installation, and can provide ongoing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) to clean the panels and monitor the system remotely.

How far can the land be from the electric grid?

To minimize transmission losses and the cost of drawing cables, it is highly recommended that your land is within 300 to 500 meters of the nearest 11kV or 33kV electric substation or transformer.
